Today is my wonderful day because finally can solve the problem of the FreeNas installation for the video team which I already wasted 2 days to install.
Having a lot of problem when I’m installing the FreeNas. That problem is an unknown problem, the only error I receive is can’t load kernel. Why it can’t load, online search for the solution and unable to get any solution on it. Trying few day also the same, boss already asking, but still finding the solution on why it can’t load kernel.
The first time I’m installing the FreeNas is at Timor Leste. That time is quite success and nothing happening. No such problem of can’t load kernel occur and every things going smooth. But this time, it really waste a lot of my time and make me almost crazy.
Finally, the only hope is to ask my technical manager. After a few testing and trying, finally he come out with a solution, which is turn off those un-use hard drive at the Bios and set it to none. Thanks Danny (tech mgr) who help me to solve the problem.
It works! It works! Yeah, finally and luckily can complete the installation. Faster put in the rest of hard drive and setup the configuration. All together have 1640GB spaces which are 2 x 500GB and 2 x 320GB. Which can still be use by the video team for another few months without add in more hard drive.
Anyone who need the installation file and step to do it, please email me or leave your comments here. I will try my best to help you. My email is jason@jtwebsystems.com
